Supporting the ministry financially
People often ask who funds the Fleet Street Talks. The simple answer is: all the ministry done at the Talks is funded by the sacrificial financial giving of Christians who regularly come to the Talks. However, if you are looking into Christianity or you are just visiting, please be re-assured that we are not after your money. The information below is for regulars only.
Why give?
‘For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich’
2 Corinthians 8:9
Christians, therefore, give, not out of duty – not to earn God’s favour, but in response to God’s grace – as a joyful response to all that God has lavished on us.
Giving is not limited to financial giving – Jesus wants his followers to be generous with their energy, skills, time and homes – but if we’re able, giving includes our money.
How to give?
Regular giving is the best way to give. It helps us in our planning; it’s very convenient for you. Standing Orders are the easiest way to make quarterly / monthly /annual payments. To support the ministry of the Fleet Street Talks financially, please fill in the Standing Order Form and Gift Aid Declaration and send it toThe Treasurer, Fleet Street Talks, 21 Fleet Street, London EC4Y 1AA. We will then send it on to your bank. You can change or cancel a Standing Order at any time.
However, a number of people prefer to make one-off donations by cheque. To make a one-off donation, please send your cheque with a Gift Aid Declaration to The Treasurer.
All donations are processed by St Helen’s Church and “ring-fenced” for the Fleet Street Talks.
